TOPIC OF THE DAY:
THE CONCLUSION TO DRAW ABOUT THESE TWO WARS.

We are going to study:

• The purpose of these two wars.
• The people who will be involved in these two wars.
• How these two wars will end.
• The similarity of the two wars.
• The conclusion to draw about these two wars.

• The purpose of these two wars. Eze.38:11-13.

This scripture shows that the war of Gog and Magog is going to be fought because Gog would want to plunder the land of Israel because of her great treasures.

But the book of Revelation reveals that the war of Armageddon will be fought because Israel will rebel against the rulership of the Antichrist with whom she would have had a 7 years covenant, three and half years of which must have been relatively peaceful, at least from his (antichrist’s) end. Dan.9:26-27: Mt. 24:14-31; Rev. 12:1-17; Mt. 24:15-22.

• The People Who Will Be Involved In These Two Wars.

During the war of Gog and Magog, Gog will lead just some nations to invade Israel (Eze. 38:2-8), while the antichrist will lead the whole world to fight Israel during the war of Armageddon. Rev.13:1-3; Eze. 38:2-8.

Who will join Russia’s prophesied Alliance Magog.

• All the former constituents of the Soviet union,
  Meshech and Tubal, Persia (Iran), Ethiopia, Libya, Gomer, Togarmah.

• How These Two Wars Will End.

A major confusing aspect of the wars is how they will end. Though what we have been examining makes the first war of Gog and Magog and the war of Armageddon to be two separate wars, the two will surely end perfectly as just one war. And yet, the leader who started the war of Gog and Magog (called “Gog”), will be killed and buried Eze. 39:11, while the leader of the war of Armageddon (the antichrist also called the”beast”), will be arrested and thrown into the lake of fire. Gog. Eze. 39:11, The Beast (Antichrist). Rev. 19:20.

• The Similarity Of The Two Wars.

Though from all we have discussed so far, the war of Gog and Magog and the war of Armageddon are two wars, apart from the fact that they are going to end as just one war, there are so many other similarities between them, that make them look just like one war.

These similarities are what make some Bible scholars to conclude that they are just one war.

• The Conclusion To Draw. Dt. 29:29.
Before drawing any conclusion here about these two wars, I like to first say that, just like this scripture will want us to know, whatever is not revealed in the Bible, God must have a reason for not revealing it. Dt.29:29.

We must be careful, about what we conclude concerning such things, so that we do not place our own ideas on the same level with the word of God.

Scriptures like Isa. 55:8-9,

The mystery here is that though as it could be understood from the scriptures quoted so far on this issue, the starters of these two wars ( the war of Gog and Magog and the war of Armageddon) will end their lives in two different ways: Gog will be killed and buried, but the Antichrist will be arrested and cast alive into the lake of fire, and yet, the end of the two wars make the two wars to be the same war. Eze. 39:11-29; Rev. 19:17-21.
Meditate also on the following scriptures: Eze. 38:1-23; Dan. 9:26-27; Rev. 13:1-18; 16:12-21; 19:11-21.
