204TH Interdenominational Weekly Bible Study For Church Leaders

By Damilola Adesina Omosebi

ALL HAIL ISRAEL!!!

One thing that makes the word of God so impeccable and valid is the present happenings in the world and the reality of what is happening to Israel! – Pastor Z A Ogunsanya.

TOPIC OF THE DAY:
THE PAST OF ISRAEL AND REPLACEMENT THEOLOGY.

Immediately after the great tribulation, Jesus will come down from heaven along with His saints.

Among the first things He will do are:

• He will fight the war of Armageddon.

• He will restore the nation of Israel.

• He will judge the remaining people still living upon the face of the earth according to their attitudes towards the children of Israel during the great tribulation. Mt. 25:31-45.

The word of God predicted that the children of Israel would be restored Isa. 1:26; 11:12; 27:13; 33:20; 40:2; 49:22; 60:10; Eze. 20:40; 36:8; Zec. 1:17; 10:6; 14:11; Mal. 3:4.

This has to be so, because just as the word of God has predicted, presently as a nation, they are not in tune with God Rm.11:7.

Also during the great tribulation, the antichrist will severely persecute them. This will make them scatter to every part of the world. So, when Jesus returns, after conquering the antichrist and his army, he will regather the children of Israel from wherever the antichrist’s persecution must have driven them. Mt.24:29-31; Jude. 1:14; 1 Thes. 4:16-18.

A good understanding of the past of Israel is very vital to the understanding of it’s future.

To fully understand why and how the nation of Israel will be restored there will be need for us to start the study by retracing it’s history.

• The beginning of Israel.

• Adam and his children.

• Noah and his household.

• Abraham and his descendants.

• Jacob and his children.

• The fall and the rise of Israel in the past.

It was not too long after the death of Joshua before the children of Israel began to do contrary to the law of God. Each time they did this, God would punish them by selling them into the hand of a foreign king who in turn would severely torment them. And anytime they realize their sinfulness, repented and cried to God for mercy, they would again be delivered.

This continued until they got a king to rule them.

After they became a kingdom they continued in wrong doings until God sent them into captivity.

We will understand the rest of what happened to them as we look at the following points:-

✓ The time of the Judges.
✓ The reigns of kings.
✓ The captivity.
✓ The coming of the Messiah.
✓ The scattering of Israel.
✓ The independence of Israel.

These are the points diligently explained by the Facilitator Pastor Z A Ogunsanya under today’s extraordinary study.
